First time trying this place and it was a hit! Our server was very friendly! Patio is spacious and had large umbrellas to help with the sunshine. Great drinks (strong!), artichoke dip app was so good and entrees were very good as well. I had the salmon-perfectly cooked with a little spice. Tiramisu was AMAZING. Went for a bday celebration so the dessert was complimentary. Have to ask for bread & butter- it was warm and delicious! Overall, a great experience! Thank you!
Came here around 10pm last Friday after a show. A server greeted us right away. We requested a high top by the bar because that area was more lively. There were so many drink options but the both of us were in the mood for a cocktail. I got the Sweet Heat, he got the Old Country. The food didn't take long to come out after we got our drinks. The cocktails were really good, but, oh my goodness, the pasta was amazing! They don't make their own pasta (which was perfectly al dente) but their sauces from scratch are absolutely on point! The bleu cheese in the Gorgonzola Cream was not overpowering and the other elements complemented each other perfectly. My beau got the Vodka Rigatoni--absolutely delicious! These pastas totally hit the spot and were still just as good reheated the next day! Highly recommend!!!
For the price tag/this level of restaurant, everything here was extremely mid/below average. Service was fine, you do have to ask for bread and butter fyi.
Had the salmon, and it tasted extremly dry and the presentation was flat out bad, looked like a table meal from Golden Corral or Applebees, see pic. The side cheesy rice was just not what you want to pair with salmon imo and I couldn’t get into more than 3 bites. Not what I had in mind for a salmon dish compared to other similar places in the metro. Also had The lobster ravioli which was pretty good though.
The vibe was cool, it wasn’t busy and it was nice that they weren’t blaring music . That was def a plus of this place, it felt upscale cause of this. Overall for the price tag I’d give it a 3 star. I would recommend Saint Kilda in valley junction or even Cheesecake Factory for a better food/taste experience. Anna dolce wasn’t bad though, just left a lot to be expected, we had a gift card so thought we’d check it out.
My wife and I went here for an anniversary dinner, having not been here before. Overall, this place is good, if a little pricey.
We started with the meatballs appetizer. The taste of these was good, though they were perhaps a little too large, as they were a bit dry in the center.
My wife got the vodka rigatoni, and our server suggested she get mushrooms with it, which she did. She really liked this dish, saying that it was very good.
I got the chicken parmesan. The chicken breast was very large, and well cooked. The sauce was a bit overpowering, however, which made the dish a little less good than I felt it could have been, though not bad.
We debated getting the 'smores lasagna' desert, but the server was kind enough to let us know that while it's normally very good, the batch they had the day we were there had been reported as a little dry, so we opted to perhaps try it another time. This was definitely a point in favor of the restaurant, though, as I'd much prefer the server tell us this rather than let us get the desert and have a less-than-optimal experience with it.
While the food here was good, the cost is on the higher side, and I didn't think it was quite 5 stars for that price.
Went in for "Happy hour" with my brother and parents. Good wine, great food and great prices for happy hour. Mussels were fantastic, Charcuterie tray was excellent for 10 bucks, as was the Calamari fries. The Italian beef pizza was fantastic with the Aus jus! Definitely recommend, and will come back next time in Des Moines!
No question this place is a little pricey, but it is without a doubt worth it. The food was absolutely amazing, Well portioned, and even foods I don't normally like were a treat.
The atmosphere is very nice, though can be loud at times. Would be the perfect place for a dinner with family or a special date.
While expensive, this place is reasonably priced for the quality of the food you are getting. We went during their happy hour and they had some great deals. We split a pitcher of mojitos and got some appetizers. I absolutely loved the brussel sprouts with the hummus.
We had the bone in ribeye and the lobster ravioli. Both dishes were fantastic. The wine was great too. The bartender and waitress were great! I would highly recommend Anna Dolce!! We had the prime rib the previous time and it was so good as well. We will definitely be back to try some of the other items on the menu!
